Food and Weight Day 11 – 104.5kg
Well, yesterday was stressful and I’ve had three nights in a row of poor and little sleep. So yesterday I ate a big pile of fries with gravy, cheese and ketchup and a bag of chips after that. Suffice it to say my weight going up is not a surprise. Today is exam day – my first midterm in 23 years. So, maybe after the stress of that is reduced I will start getting better again.
Food and Weight Day 10 – 104.2kg
I’ve discovered a simple and delicious alternative to wheat/sugar-filled sandwiches: lettuce wraps. Now this might not be earth-shaking to many of you further along this path than I, but it’s new to me. I make a lettuce wrap with ham, cheese, and artichoke hearts (or something similarly flavorful), and no sauces and it’s great!!! Filling and perfect after a bike ride to school. An apple rounds it out as a meal.
Food and Weight Day 8 – 104.5
Well, yesterday was pretty good. I only had one piece of bread (in my chests category) and I got lots of exercise on my bicycle. So now my weight is back down to the Day 3 level.
I went to the grocery store to buy myself a bunch of healthy food. That made a big difference.
Food and Weight Day 7 – 105.1
I ate something that really upset my stomach yesterday (probably a grilled cheese sandwich) and as a result I didn’t eat much. But what I did eat had a lot of wheat and sugar. So hard to stay away from those things! I’ve got to get some groceries to give me options at home.
Weight and Food Day 6 – 105.6kg
Well, last week was bad for my weight. I reduced my exercise and ate badly, so I guess I’m not surprised. This week will be better!
Weight and Food Day 3 – 104.5
Small, probably random, improvement over yesterday. I had a terrible lunch (A&W) but did well on my dinner. After work I went to the grocery store near the hotel where I was teaching and bought a whole bunch of healthy stuff for the drive home. I over-ate, but it was all good fruits and meat.
Today could be hard again and I will be overnight in Toronto so no update tomorrow.
Food and Weight Day 2 – 104.7
But technically a little higher since I’m actually using a digital scale in lbs and calculating kgs, and tester day I rounded up and today I rounded down. Small difference, but still.
Train food was good: I avoided the bread and the desserts. Today my challenge is being on the road in my car and being tired. Almost always leads to bad food choices.
Food and Weight Day 1 – 104.7kg
Yesterday I ate pretty well: one small cheat, but otherwise all good for low sugar and processed white stuff. I had a 1cm wise sliver of pumpkin pie at Bahai Feast last night. I cycled to and from school despite cold rain.
Day 2 will be challenging due to travelling on the train to work in Toronto. I like their olive bread but will have to decline it.
Food and Weight Day 0
As I mentioned last night, today is my starting point for cleaning up my diet and losing a bit of weight. I guessed that I was 106kg, but actually I’m 105.1kg.
I plan on posting a brief update here every day barring travel or other reasons for a lack of measurement.
